X'mas Celebration in SFC!

First of all, i would like to extend my congratulations to all my fellow brothers(including myself) for passing the Tech Exam we've taken last 2 weeks. See? Told ya' everyone would make it through :) Weee! Now what? Oh, we had a X'mas party last Friday in the college and it was a blast! Really!

We had our final rehearsal in the classroom itself after lunch time because the party was due to start at 5pm. Other cadet batches was busy preparing for their performance as well and it seems that our performance would be the lousiest compared to the others. And it turned out to be true.. LOL..and considering we were the last one to perform, it became even worse because everyone's expectation was skyrocketing due to the former performances by the other batches.

Last minute's rehearsal for the win!

Food was....okay...initially there seems to be an imaginary line drawn between the food prepared for us and those prepared for the special guests :P Haha! In the end however, we were still allowed to cross over the line and that really made us felt a lot better. Yummieeeee!! Beers and wine were everywhere and and some of us even had ca6-7ns by the end of the party. Gila.. Me? Only 1 can nia la.....

Left : Our food :( Right: Their food :9 (Drool...)

All in all, we have 4 batches doing different perfomances, the first one was a skit telling a tale about a life of a cadet in SFC. It was fking hillarious! You guys must watch this!

Second one was a Xmas Carol stolen from us :( Joking :P They even modified the lyrics and it was funny as hell! Kudos!

Silent Night.....Holy Night....All is Calm...Pfft! Steal our song! (Joking :P)

The third one was the craziest part where there were a Santa-Dress-Em-Up competition and each batch should elect an unfortunate representative as victim to be the Santa. Even the staff of SFC were required to participate and in this case, our Chief Flying Instructor was the chosen one! Wahahaha!

We messed him up pretty good alright...

Four wierd Santas, but the last one was....really...WTF! O_o

And lastly but not least, a decent make-up from our CFI!

All of them gave us a hell of a laughter but guess what, our batch which was the last one to perform, only sang 4 minus 1 (why 3? because the other batch stole one of our Carols :/) mere X'mas Carols and that's it! Everyone seems to give an applause forcefully by the end of our performance.

We wish you a merry xmas, We wish you a merry xmas....Doh!

Sigh, boring siaaa... That was probably the lowest point of everyone's mood during the entire party. Anyway, i was glad that it did not affect the overall party atmosphere at all and it became crazy all over again soon after :) We had a very funny looking cake and we celebrated everyone's birthday which fall in the month of December! W00t!

Left : WTF? Logs? Nah..they are cakes :P Right : Mmmmmmm, squashed grapes...

Before the end of the party, we had a huge 'yum seng' session with each other and everyone tried to make the loudest and longest noise possible. Uhuk...i think we almost ran out of voice by the end because we have been laughing, screaming and talking so much crap throughout the party . Zzzzz... Oh, and before i conclude this here's the final photo snapped for all of us...and.. Merry Christmast everyonee!!!

Merry X'mas and Happy New Year!!!

Ah...let's move on to Day 6 of my OBS :) It was an another fun day!

Day 6 (Land Expedition Day 2)

We were told that we should get ready by 7.30am to depart this morning. Having given a chance to sleep at 9.00PM yesterday, i am not taking any chances and decided to just sleep instead of walking around like zombie talking rubbish. Some were chit-chatting away until very late at night. To my horror, my sleep was horribly disturbed in the middle of the night, there were someone screaming and throwing out command for everyone to get out of their tents immediately, and evacuate the entire place leaving no trail behind. As if we were ambushed or there was a surprise attack on our camp. Who the hell would want to do that anyway? That's the kind of thought i had when i was just awake and still feeling blur. However, i soon found out that it was an evacuation drill and the time was around 2.30am. We were told to pack up our tents and clear up our campsites and the time given was only 30 minutes or else, there would be some unpleasant penalty waiting for us ahead. Without any chance to whine or complain, everyone scattered around in total darkness and did their jobs at their quickest pace possible by the assistance of torchlights/headlamps and in 20 minutes, we were already on the move to the next campsite. That's 10 minutes earlier than the time limit given, very impressive indeed.

Why the hell are you taking a photo when everyone else is busy cleaning up the area?

It took about another 30 minutes of walking for us to reach our next campsite which is of course, another beach and we were soon allowed to sleep again with an assurance that we will not be thrown into a state of panic and confusion again later. Phewwww!

Nobody bothered to set up the tents again afterward..LOL

Woke up around 8am and prepared to move on again to the final checkpoint. Before that, we had a tiny team-based game involving piecing up different parts of short stories held by each and everyone to make it into a sensible one. Very fun!

Morning circle and story-puzzle game!

Dont worry..She's not dead :P

Today we walked less, maybe 4-5km but there were 2 games slotted in between when we took a rest. Each game taking up about 75 minutes. The first game was called "Tree-Seeker" where the whole team had to walk from a point to another in blindfolds and totally no intercommunication between the team members. We have to only rely on the team leader to guide the rest to the end point which is actually a tree trunk. It's only like 50m apart from one point to another but it took us more than an hour to make it through.

Shhh! No talking please, otherwise restart from the beginning point again.

The last one was the water raft building activity and subsequently dump it into the quarry pool to see if it can support up to 14 people. I could not believe that it actually did, even though the raft seem as if it was going to sink anytime soon. We were given 4 huge barrels, and 8 pieces of plastic pipes and many, i mean MANY ropes to tie them up together to form a water raft. How are we going to achieve that is entirely up to us. Super fun as well. After that we all went for a dip into the quarry formed by rain water after so many years and it was so damn clean. I felt so refreshed after that and i totally forgotten about my pain for a moment.

Overview of the quarry!

Heave-ho! Heave-ho! Let's launch the raftttt!!

We proceeded to the final campstie for the expedition which is another.....BEACHHH! Bah..i'm starting to get sick of beaches already. Very windy in the evening and the dinner was good as usual but i still missed the rice though. No evacuation drill tonight but there will be another one tomorrow. Guess what? I was told by Kenny (my instructor) to FAKE a faint on purpose when we were getting near to the OBS Campground so that it creates a sudden state of panic and emergency.

Final campsite and dinner!

Greattttt..now i need to think about how am i going to stage the entire scene up without blowing it. I have never been a good actor, and i really do not feel like 'cheating' my team this way. But i really had no choice and had to do it. It's for the benefit of everyone after all (and for me :P). Right now, i should just try to sleep.

Mood : Relaxed
Days Left : 15
